Which Production Process Is Generally Used For Scaffolding
Classification of galvanized scaffolding
Galvanized scaffolding is classified by the production process into hot-dip galvanized scaffolding and cold-dip galvanized scaffolding. It is the difference between these two types of galvanized scaffolds that gives them many different physical and chemical properties. In general, they differ in many ways in terms of strength, toughness and mechanical properties.
Hot-dip galvanized scaffolding
Hot-dip galvanized scaffold:It is a scaffold made of steel plates or steel strips that are rolled and formed and then welded. On the basis of this type of scaffold, the scaffold is placed in a hot-dip galvanized pool and formed through a series of chemical reactions. The production process of hot-dip galvanized scaffolding is simple, but the production efficiency is high and there are many varieties and specifications. However, this type of scaffolding requires less equipment and capital, and is suitable for small galvanized scaffolding manufacturers to produce. However, in terms of strength, the strength of this steel pipe is much lower than that of seamless scaffolding.
Cold Galvanized Scaffolding
The cold galvanized scaffolding is the use of cold galvanizing on the scaffolding used to give the scaffolding anti-corrosion properties. Unlike hot dip galvanizing, cold galvanizing coating mainly relies on electrochemical principle for corrosion protection, which needs to ensure sufficient contact between zinc powder and steel to produce potential difference, so the surface treatment of steel is very important.
The difference between cold and hot-dip galvanized scaffolding
Hot-dip galvanized scaffolds include wet, dry, lead-zinc, and redox methods. The main difference between different hot dip galvanizing methods:After the steel pipe is cleaned by acid dip, what method is used to activate the surface of the pipe to improve the galvanizing quality? The dry method and redox method are mainly used in current production.
The zinc layer surface of cold galvanizing is very smooth, dense and uniform; good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance; zinc consumption is 60% ~ 75% lower than that of hot-dip galvanizing. The galvanizing process is complex, but single-sided plating, double-sided plating with different thicknesses on the inner and outer surfaces, and thin-walled pipe galvanizing all require this method.
